Does one have an advantage over the other. I ask because I was thinking of testing my cables for resistance and replace if necessary later this year.

Pete’s four cable setup ( 2 pos 2 neg) is also a fail safe. One cable or one battery bank go bad you can isolate it and still have power to the truck. Also runs cooler. One cable will get hotter quicker which makes batts warmer too. They’ve done that since the beginning of time with the old 24 start systems. I cable all my trucks that way when converting them.

Well, finding pics is proving difficult, even though I've take hundreds of it. Here's a pic of the truck, a pic of my old compound setup, and a pic of mocking up the new compound setup. The last two pics are my brother's drag truck. Here's a couple videos too. In the one on the dragstrip, I blew an intercooler boot almost clear in half. Was at 79mph by the 1/8th, and only 71mph at the 1/4. Still beat the white pickup by two seconds. The up pipe keeps the black smoke off the track lasers. Otherwise, it screws up the clock.
