Here is what I would do and this is just my opinion. If I was in a position where I had been out of a job for seven months plus I lived in an area where the chances of me getting a good paying job was slim to none. I would go to Swift if they were willing to take me. Two years ago you might have had more options. But right know things are not all that great in the trucking industry. Swift has freight. They will train you. And it is a stable job if you do what is required of you. Maybe in a few years when thing pick back up you can find something better.

    ao2005 Thanks this.

That is the answer i was looking for but if i get in with swift and i like it im going to move to TN and get the hell out of MI. I pretty much made this thread because i think that swift is my only real option at this point. Its either Swift or CR England:biggrin_25512:, and i wanted more back of from you guys.
    thanks

Personally I think you would probably do better at Swift. Especially if you are wanting to move to TN. If you do end up moving that will open up a lot more opportunities for you after you get a little experience.

FAFSA, will not pay for trucking school. You will need to a] get financed thru the school/company, or b] go thru the WIA program.

I know FAFSA wont pay for it because I was accepted for the pell grant [and still have the grant] and I couldn't use it for a trucking school, only for a college.
