When I was 6, I had a wagon. My Dads Radio Flyer, from the 1940s. It was beat and rusted. Had to reinforce the steering, and beat the handle straight. Me an my Friend would tie the handles to our bikes, and play Truckdrivers. He had a brand new wagon, with wood stakes.I had a rickety rust bucket a handle held together with bailing wire, instead of a bolt. Today, He Owns his Dads Bussiness, About 15?Trucks, he has a Big fancy W9, and a nice set of B Train Dumps. Some things never change. Lol.

How do you go to Chester's and take 10 minutes and 25 F questions to order?

My Dad was always giving me his old stuff. When I went Trucking, he gave me a Cobra 48GTL, said it’s a great radio, if you get it fixed. Along with a DirtDevil, that didn’t work. I asked him WTF? Why is everything you give me always broken? Lol. He said, because I figure you can fix it. I told him later, now that I own a Truck, I need a good Mechanic. He answered, I always thought you were a good Mechanic!! Oh well, I still think he could have bought Me a new radio!! Cheapskate.

Probably could have. But would it have been the right thing for him to do as a dad?

Just had an early dinner. Catfish and Crawfish etoufee again. Wife had crab and shrimp au graten. Last good meal before leaving Louisiana. Since We’re heading to Atlanta, then NJ. Figured we deserved it. Going 10 miles from the location of my first and hopefully last accident, 12 yrs ago, where I totaled my 99 Classic. I try to avoid NJ since then. I had just overhauled the engine, kind of like this Truck now. I hate to be superstitious, but can’t help but worry about history repeating itself. If So, I’ll quit Trucking this time. Like I wanted to last time.
