I can, well, we ALL can relate to this persons dilemma, more than once, I came in the bosses office, usually after a particularly tough day/night, threw the keys on their desk, and told them to cram it with walnuts. The good bosses recognized the problem, and a few days on "the dock", usually took care of it,,,for a while. To Canadianhauler, these are the normal ups and downs of the trucking biz. While a lot has changed, this hasn't. Oh sure, you can do another facet of trucking, but in the end, it's the same shxx, different shovel. 2 years, take some time off, you've earned it, not like you are complaining after a month, and see if that helps. It gives you a better perspective as to why you got into this in the 1st place. Good luck, you'll be fine.

That's true. But at least you get to lay down in your own bed.

I can sympathize with the original poster. Because I'm coming to the same point been doing this almost 7 years. My dad drove for 20+ I don't see how he or any of the other old schoolers did either.

Gonna try to transition to local then get certified in something and out of driving.

Because you don’t have ambition, doesn’t mean you need to suck others down with you. It’s nobody’s fault but your own that you are miserable.

If you don’t like your situation change it!!! That is what the Op is trying to do. Yes you absolutely get treated better simply by pulling a different type of trailer.

When is the last time you have been invited to grab some lunch & a couple drinks at your customers employee appreciation day event?

How many customers do you have that invite you to use their locker room showers while they unload and reload you?

How many customers have bought pizza & soda for the ten trucks stuck in the staging area because of an issue in the lab?

Sorry ‘bout it Western, but you could not be more wrong on this one.

We had to pay a trim carpenter $65/hr to fix the mess caused by a $40/hr supposed trim carpenter.

You can do linehaul for a LTL company and not deal with shippers/receivers.
