Someone explain to me this dang requirement of recent otr experience. I've been local for 10 1/2 yrs decide I'm going back otr. Company said I'm not eligible, wtf has changed? Are snow chains different, are scale houses different, are truck stops different, are shippers/receiver's different.
I'm wtf has changed so dramatically that me 15 yrs perfect driving record, perfect csa 2010 record. I'm registered with the clearing house. Ugh I think it's just a way for a company not to hire someone with experience, and top wage.

You must have wanted to get on with a specific carrier. Hell the over the road companies need you more than you need them

OTR has it's own challenges. Local you know the surroundings and environment.
OTR you develop that over time.
It is different. Plus you're going to be living in the truck. That takes some getting used to.JolliRoger, Grumppy, Flat Earth Trucker and 2 others Thank this. -
