So when I first started my present employer, they put me in a 2019 Cascadia that had the lane departure system. First time it went off I thought something was in the road and I hit it(got too close to the fog line) Anyway, there was a button on the dash. You could hit it and it would disable the warning until you turned the truck off. Great. I know how to stay between the lines anyway so it is one of those"safety features" that can't really compensate for using your mirrors.
Flash forward to now. The lease came up on that truck and the company bought international prostars. I got a 2021 model and it has the same feature with a disable button. However, now it only stays disabled fifteen minutes. There is no option to disable until truck shuts off, nor decrease volume.
Does anyone know if these can be turned off at least until you park and turn the truck off, or is the only way is to get someone to hook up into the computer to disable it? I don't want to go that route, it's bad enough the camera that came with it reads the mph signs and tells you your speeding. Really problematic when your on the freeway and it reads the sign for an exit ramp.

It’s set to 15 minutes under the assumption that you may need to disable it for a construction zone which can have the lanes going all over the place.
After that it comes back on assuming you forgot to turn it on.
It is required by law to work on newest truck models, you cannot disable it permanently.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Dealers will not disable, reason if something happens and a lawyer finds out safety feature was disabled. Lawyer will go after truck mfg, dealer and software or manufacturer of safety device.
