Nah I think I fixed it. Had a guy clean out all the connecters to the sensor and we will see if the codes come back. I don't have issues with the DEF system itself. Filter is still showing clean. Gets only boxed DEF fluid and I dont idle the truck much. Have only around 400 hors idle time so far.

I am getting another code I cant find what it is anywhere. Can anyone help me find out what it is before I take it to the stealership? Code is N02A3

    Google’s no help?

Theoretically I have no problem with the emissions stuff either as long as it behaves, but as you have seen it is more stuff to go wrong. I’d be more concerned about the fuel pump on those 19’s and 20’s TBH. That’s an expensive one.

Google is giving me nothing. I can't find any code at all that starts with an N. If you change the N to a P on google you get "Cylinder 3 Fuel Trim at Min Limit" I am guessing something wrong with an injector.

I'm not worried about the fuel pump. I noticed the posts I come across that have truck's fuel pump fail and destroy the engine were around 30k mile mark.
Closing in on 2 years and 120k miles trouble free on my truck up till now. Not so bad reliability wise I think. I don't think what I have going now is a big issue. It happened after a deep freeze and tons of snow and the truck sat untouched for 2 weeks.

    I Haven’t seen a N02A3 code before but I have seen a
    U02A3 code before.
I suspect the N is just the way the ELD is reading it?
The U02A3 code designation is loss of communication with the particulate sensor.
So it looks like you might not of fixed anything?
I can’t stress enough to you to test ( by isolating and pulling a load through each individual wire) all the wiring and connectors from the sensor all the way back to the ECM.
You may have a nicked and corroded wire in the circuit.

If thats what it is then I guess cleaning the connecters didn't fix it.
Need to find a capable mechanic near me. Not sure my guy would be able to do this.

I’d probably let a dealer look at it once if you can find one around you that sells and services a lot of Cummins rigs, which where you live might mean out in Jersey or PA.

Another option is send it down river and wash your hands of it while the resale is still high. Weren’t you talking about getting a bigger truck anyway?

Ordering a brand new m2 106 but It will only be ready in October and then however long it would take shipshe trailers to upfit the haul and tow bed. Have to keep my truck running till then.

The 3 codes I had went away and are not coming back after I cleaned out the particulate matter sensor's electrical connections. Only one code keeps coming back now and that's the N02A3 which I can't find what it is. Someone on another thread mentioned that maybe the keeptruckin is reading it wrong and it might be U02A3 actually which means "Lost Communication With Particulate Matter Sensor Module" which sounds plausible.

I'll figure it out. Truck runs like a champ other than that.

Sometimes the DEF in fuel island tanks can get water contaminated.
