Taking one or 2 aspirin at bed time can lower your BP pretty well, and take it every night. Also if you like cinnimon, putting 1/2 to 1 teaspoon on your food or in a drink can help lower your BP as well.

Actually, they only serve you what you order. Where there is a will there is a way...

I quit drinking Soda Pop a while back, and dropped ten lbs in a month doing nothing different except that.

Well, I got my DOT card, but only for 1 year, even though my BP was 138/84. My doctor, who's my normal primary care doc, only gave me the 1yr based on my history of Stage 1 hypertension. I am happy I did get the card though...one more step closer to my CDL!

138/84 is normal. what the hell is your dr smoking?? Ive always got a 2 year card with that BP. I have a BP monitor and the instructions say that anything below 139 is normal and less than 89 is normal, i would find a different dr. borderline is 140 to 159 and 90 to 94, hypertension is more than 160 more than 95. The BP monitors at the stores by the pharmacy say normal is 139 and 89.

Yeah, I hear ya. I did have an extensive conversation with him, and it's the way he interpreted the DOT regulations. I probably should have just bit the bullet and went to a clinic or something instead of my primary care doc and paid cash for the physical. I suppose I could still do that and scrap the DOT form I have already from him, since I haven't turned it in to anyone yet, including my state DMV for my permit test.

Usually, they prescribe 1 "baby aspirin" a day. It helps thin the blood out, therefore your heart doesnt have to pump as hard to get it thru the veins/arteries, so that in turn lowers blood pressure. There are all kinds of low dose aspirin on the market. The one I take is generic and it's enteric coated so it won't bother the stomach. Even St. Joseph baby aspirin will work. Just make sure what you take is only 81mg, which is what is usually recommended. As for the cinammon, that's news to me as well, but a tasty way to help out, I suppose!

Just be glad the new medical regulations aren't in effect . They will require physicals by approved doctors that will electronically file you medical info with your state DMV . I'd advise getting another physical . Some members have posted they were rejected at orientation with some companies because they had a one year card . Once you get on meds you will always have a 1 year card .

Go to a walk in clinic they will give you a two yr if your blood pressure is the same. I went and it only cost $35.00 and they provided the form.
Don't drink anything a couple of hours before you get it checked, fluid goes into your veins and raises BP slightly.
