Well things have been changing on my trip, too. I delivered earlier today. Went to ThermoKing shop to have them look at my APU.
"Sorry. We Do APUs in the morning. We can't look at it till monday."
Yeah. I ain't staying in the NE over the weekend. So called my DM and said get me something for the morning. I'll have it looked at when I get to the other end. Two minutes later I get a call from our repower team.
"Can you do a repower to MA it delvers in the morning. I'll give you $200. Plus a load after it heading to Waco."
So I said sure. That allows me to go back up to DFW afterwards to get my APU fixed.
Park at the TA and get ready for the repower. My DM calls me.
"Dude. That repower won't work. They're only open till 0500 and your hours won't get you there before then. They are closed on the weekend. I don't want you to end up sitting there all weekend."
So we pull the repower off of me. Now I am picking up in VA, With 3 drops. One in TN, and two in TX. So I can still get to the terminal for my APU afterwards. Plus don't have to go deeper into the NE.77fib77, Rideandrepair, Cowboyrich and 10 others Thank this. -

Home at 20:00 with 3100 miles for 5 days and 24 hours left on my clock. (ag exemption is evil) when I put the Peterbilt in the pole barn as I was closing the doors the only sound was my big block suburban rumbling outside. I was filled with a sense of well-being just doing my part to keep America great.
