Thanks! It’s not my place to tell them to slow down. They’re doing their thing, keeping it in their lane and that’s good enough for me. There’s been quite a few times when I was OTR and a bull hauler would ride in the left lane holding traffic back before a merge to one lane and I’d get on the CB and tell them to take the front door at the end. I was in a 63mph truck at the time and I couldn’t see the point in holding back an ungoverned truck but that’s just me. Maybe I’ve been doing it wrong, but I try to respect the bull haulers as well as the other drivers on the road.
I also prefer dimming the lights to flashing high beams. I don’t like when people flash their high beams in my mirror so I don’t do it to others.
All this to say, I try to respect other drivers. A little common courtesy can go a long way.
Bull haulers/Cattle haulers doing 80-90mph

All the years I hauled cattle and doing the 12-1800 mile runs out of Cali and Florida very rarely did I ever run over 70. Keep the door closed and there’s no need. It’s funny how you could leave St Cloud FL and you’d see the same 80mph trucks about 3 times by the time you made Satanta KS to unload. To sit there and run those speeds day in and day out it’s just hard on your equipment.

You know it's a good place to eat when you see bull wagons. They do not mess around with bad food places. They're on a time schedule.
Used to be the best hamburgers on earth in Clinton Oklahoma exit 66 Domino fuel stop. And lots of bull haulers.
I like old truck stops. I grew up on chicken fried from Rip Griffins. I HAVE to fuel at the chains, cause that what my boss wants. But I generally buy most of my stuff from the Mom n Pop places. And your less likely to get your truck hit. When you stay at those places.
I can remember when Whiskey Pete's still had the restaurant and buffet. There'd always be 5+ bull wagons there.jason6541, TripleSix, NavigatorWife and 2 others Thank this. -
