You’ve been getting DOT’d a lot. Makes you wonder what happened to the Law of averages. I went through that about 6 yrs ago. Finally started asking what made you pull Me over? Anything that makes you see Red, when looking at my Truck? Is there some sort of flag on my info? Nope just random. It finally stopped. But only after being checked a lot. Every 6 weekS on average. Passed all inspections. Last count, over 60 inspections in 12 yrs. Have only had 2, maybe 3 in past 4 yrs.

They have made it hard to qualify. I barely did myself. No more stated income Mortgage fior 1/3%-1/2 higher rate. Had to do a “ Profit and Loss statement “ because it was December/ January. Along with a letter explaining why I was suddenly making twice the amount of previous year. I explained 2 transmission repairs, etc. It was all BS. Didn’t quite hit the mark, when actual taxes were done. By then it didn’t matter. But with all the Lending reforms, it was tough. Supposed to be easier now. They’ve relaxed some of the rules. Bought my house in 2013. Used to know all the rules. New rules were so different, many didn’t understand them, and were afraid of getting the slightest bit creative. Had to find the right agent and mortgage people. They made it happen, after being chewed up and spit out a few times. New rules are tricky. I don’t even want to bother learning it all again.Anyway, smart move keeping it at $1100. Can’t always count on “growing “ into a payment. Things can change fast. Snowball effect, and it’s all upside down. Made all those mistakes in the past. Never again.

So yesterday I got empty. Can’t find a rental car. Decided I’ll have to run empty 220 miles to buy the Jeep.About $300 in fuel rd trip. Found a short 100 mile load headed that way. Paid real good. Just what I need to compensate the lousy Load I booked for Today. It delivers in Ohio Monday. I’m counting on a short one home, to pump up my per mile average. So great!! Drove to the Shipper, and with great pleasure, they say, you’re 2 minutes late. Come back Monday. Lol. I had passed up the Bank, so I make a run for the Bank. Closed 2 minutes ago. Lol. Bank Opens at 9:00 Load picks up at 11:00.Jeep is 4 hrs away. I’m reminded of my Dad. He’d say, The road to Hell is paved with good intentions. So true. We had some Seafood and slept good. Today we try again. Guys holding the Jeep. It’s pretty nice. Pulled a car fax. It’s had radiator flushed twice and Injectors/intake cleaned twice, trans and axles services. Tune ups, new battery etc. A lot in last 4 yrs. and 4K miles. Hardly driven in last 7 yrs.Great maintenance records. Wife’s happy, finally getting a Jeep again.

Last October, International (Navistar Corp) signed the deal to be acquired by VW Truck, who already owned 16% if the company. The combined companies are now called Traton. So now we only have Paccar as the only American owned truck manufacturer.

Inspector and I were having a pretty good talk yesterday. I am an ### kisser if the guy is a good type dude. Asked him all about how they pick trucks to come in(Truckee). He says well last night guy coming into work went past a truck with half the lights out lol he got called in. I said I get the bypass scale green light all the time how does it decide to give me bypass and how not to bypass. He says goes by rating and then after so many times it make you go across the scales. He said on getting inspections it is random i said uh huh sure it is.

Really? I had no idea. I’m in my own little world these days. VW will surely improve it. The Europeans have a knack, especially the highly acclaimed German engineering. No doubt get more complicated and somewhat over engineered. Making repairs more difficult and expensive. I’ll be watching for a tear engine Semi Lol

His son was at work and dude indulged in a couple of said brownies and then things got interesting. He felt weird and then spinning. He started to get sick and lol you know the rest. Son said yep edibles.

I’ve met some real good ones. Easy conversation attempts usually tell Me right away, if there’s going to be a problem or not. I had one in Virginia point out a cracked brake shoe. He mentioned it’s an out of service item, but since he can’t tell if it’s all the way across the shoe, I was OK. He explained rust jacking. Gave Me a good education on brakes. Now I use premium painted shoes. Guaranteed not to rust jack. That’s how it should be.
