Hey @TB John Honest TB, I wuz just mulling something over today over something off the roller grill at the quick mart lunch type thing. Have you considered adding trailer leasing to the fine family we all know and love as BYOB&CBD?

The reason I ask, while enjoying my roller grill lunch, I saw this trailer pass by the window, and I immediately thought of Ing.....errr....BYOB&CBD. Then the proverbial light bulb became illuminated! TRAILER LEASING!
I think that's an untapped market for you,. And with all the other fine products and services offered by you and the gang at BYOB&CBD, a natural fit.

Oh, here's the trailer that started the ball rolling, and got me thinking of In.....BYOB&CBD! .....

A great idea @Lonesome and I'm already moving in that direction with not one but two refurbished container chassis out on lease. I might entertain the idea of a flatbed or two, but I'm going to hold off on any vans or reefers for right now untill my man Ardis get over the Covids.

Super Ego Holdings books junk freight, they don’t want anyone talkin to the brokers directly about anything.

I have talked to brokers and have called my dispatch and they have completely different stories regarding appointments, detention etc.


So, some of the dispatchers are all over the place and will likely cause a lot of pain with late fees or cancellations ! I fired my first dispatcher. The second was not good at advance planning. I’m 1099 contract ending soon w/owner op. I’m done, don’t want to keep paying $1000 a week for equipment for someone else’s truck even if it’s good money not worth losing a Cdl license.

Hey sorry , I did two posts (better than one for my rant).

 

Currently a 1099 sub driver for an owner op with Floyd/Rocket/SuperEgo...I do not affiliate with the company.

My experience is that when I call for a load they tell me certain loads are not approved by company or broker refused to book load off DAT. They have been reported by shipper brokers in Carrier 411.

I tried to book a load Sat 1300 miles with DAT $6,000 and broker refused to work with Floyd/Rocket. It seems like they have a restricted list, Kordun was shutdown and lines disconnected. Floyd is booking through Rocket...is that double brokering?
That is illegal if that’s what their doing.

I end my contract soon with the owner operator, I won’t be renewing because I don’t want to ruin my CDL. The driver always pays for the problems in one way or another.

Bottom line: no shipper broker relationship no load no $$$$.
