As mentioned above... 30 yard foaming wasp spray is legal absolutely everywhere. I've never seen any notice at any shipper or receiver against it. No truck inspection would cause any fuss. Cheap. Nobody would bother stealing it. Perfect solution IMO.
I've heard a couple of stories of people losing a firearm pretty much permanently during inspections. If it gets confiscated due to a law you were unaware of sometimes the process to get it back is practically impossible...And that's not even talking about repercussions on the driver.
Can a trucker have protection in the sleeper?

For example, when I am going into Ca. I will unload my gun. I will put my firearm in one box & lock it (sm padlock). I will then put all the ammo & clip in the second box & lock it. Then both boxes will go in the cabinet that is behind the driver seat.
The strict states basically say that the ammo & firearm can not be stored in the same box & has to be locked in a trunk or someplace not accessible while driving.
I have had level one inspections in NY, Ca, & Md and have never had a problem.

Check what stats recognize your ccw permit. Check what states offer non resident ccw license.

I carry a small Aborigine with me at all times in the truck. He can shoot poison darts through the smallest crack in either window. Amazing accuracy.
He eats a lot of roller dogs though. Who'da thunk it?MIT, BunBaoPho88, Bakerman and 13 others Thank this. -
Some states can be different but this is how it is in CA.
Personally I carry.
I'm average build and fighting ability, I know if attacked I'll be hurt.
It used to be I'd tell someone to carry a decoy wallet, ya get mugged give it to them and be on your way. I never want to deal with the legal fallout of defending myself.
But now bad guys are all to often not satisfied with just your money they want to hurt you too.
Don't take loads to military locations or across country borders. And above all else use common sense and keep yer trap shut.John Joel Glanton, JoeyJunk, wis bang and 5 others Thank this. -
