Pregame Warmups Underway

 

Doing what I do best....ticking people off!!! LOL Got back to the yard today and talked with my DM, who then had me talk to Walter, who told me to go tell George to get that horrid seat out of my truck and that Joe had spoken to him already.

Get down to the body shop, tell George, who hasn’t heard a word and who proceeds to go off on me. Tells me the only thing he will do is put the old seat bottom back in. Well, that isn’t great news, but at least it won’t stink to high flipping heaven!

Then when I took the cover off my gel cushion, I find that the smell has permeated the entire cushion, so I have to throw it away. My mother bought me that cushion and it sure as heck was not cheap. But the main thing is-my mother bought me that cushion-and I had to throw it out.
So, after getting chewed on by George, I called my DM, who tells me that George is now chewing on Walter.

After dropping my truck down at the body shop, I stopped and spoke with Joe, who, after much persuading, has agreed to purchase a new seat bottom and he will let me know when it’s in.
So, squeaky wheel and all, ya know. Like I told my old man, I’ve been pissing people off since 1967! Probably won’t stop any time soon.

On a positive note, got a 2 stop CA run for next week. Hopefully, this one won’t cancel!

 

Congratulations on the 8 year anniversary. You need to quit being so rough on those poor DMs you are running them off.

Meanwhile, I've only had three in my 4+ years here.

My current DM just had his 1-year-anniversary with the company a few weeks ago. And he's #2 on the DM seniority list. Steve, who was hired only a month before he was, is #1 on the seniority list.

Apparently we have a lot of churn at the DM position.

 

Uh oh! You’re on the same board as me. That means you must be a problem child! LOL Seriously though, Steve is freaking awesome! So I’m sure they’ll figure out a way and he’ll be gone soon. Although I hope not!

 

Congrats on the 8 years. My 8 years was March 25th. But since I quit for 18 days and came back in 2015, my new anniversary is September 8 (6 years).
