I've never been able to drive suspended since I'm too tall for most air ride seats. With enough air to not bottom out hard on the big bumps my eyes are at the top of the windshield. Are the bose any different?

All the air ride seats I have used have an additional firmness setting that controls the ‘suspension’ or movement. The air control is just used to raise the seat to the height you want to sit at. The firmness control is used to determine whether you will bottom out or not.

I have a Minimizer seat and was looking at Bose also but at the time i wasn’t able to find who was making it or something like that. Don’t remember what the reason was
But Minimizer also has like 7 firmness seatings
Only part I don’t care for is how big the base is and it looks like Bose has the same sorta deal
It sits high even when all the way down
I have thought about having the floor cut out and put in a recessed pan so the seat base would sit an inch or two below the floor but not sure the juice would be worth the squeeze?

I cut out the floor of a flat top sleeper for a drop pan, well actually a laundry sink , so I could have a stand up shower .

it fit right in between the frame rails and was about an inch and a half above the drive shaft. Added two tanks ,one cold and one for hot water , dropped a coil of copper pipe in the hot one so the engine coolant would heat the water , and two 12 volt pumps.

    Best thing ever !
No more waiting to take a shower at a truck stop. Added a chemical toilet, a fridge and my dog.

all the comforts of home .

    Sorry. I didn’t take pics .

just vision taking a 16x16 x14 laundry sink and cutting a hole in the wooden floor of the sleeper and dropping it in.

It was a 36 inch flat top sleeper on a 1985 Ford LTL 9000

the ideas came from when I was at a marina and a guy invited me to look at his new cabin cruiser, and it had a tiny shower and I thought, hmmm, this isn’t much bigger than my sleeper, I wonder if I could do this in my truck?

all the water tanks , the hot, cold and drain tank came from a boat supply.
The drain tank was designed to fit under the floor of a small boat, it fit perfectly between the fuel tanks under the driveshaft, sitting on the cross supports that ran between the bottom of the left and right fuel tanks

yep. Showers are free, but usually you have to wait an hour or two to get one .
I did it mostly because it saved a lot of time.
I could take showers while waiting to get loaded or unloaded.
then was able to use all of my off duty time for sleeping.

this was back when you could log 15 hours of drive time if you split it 5/4/5/4/5

plus , every o/o with a Pete and no governor would brag about how fast their truck was.

“that’s cool, hey do you have a shower and toilet and fridge in yours ?”
