Back up on 40 west in NM this afternoon for a wreck, how long has Knight been pulling doubles. First time I've seen it.

Awesome post! Love that scene from Spinal Tap! Oh how many buzzed evenings filled with laughter quoting "These amps go up to 11!"

    Good times!

Was the wreck Knight pulling doubles? I have seen US Xpress pulling doubles around lately.

It could be all in my head, but I imagine there is something afoot in the tech world that enables carriers to minimize deadhead somehow, be it swapping or seeing one another's capacity or something. I've been pulling a lot of loads for other companies lately. Been seeing a lot of company trucks pulling another companies trailers. Anybody else noticed a lot of this lately?

An LEO just pulled into the J in Big Springs, NE and made half a dozen trucks move. They were all parked along the north edge of the road that skirts the north side of the lot. That entire section is marked NO PARKING. Why are some drivers affraid to park in the dirt???

Who do I need to talk to to get my truck spec'ed with some of this tech??? Sure would help with those pesky rioters... Not to mention grid locked traffic.

So I'm hemming and hawing over what property to buy. I could buy in indiana place has 3 old trailers and a farm house. One trailer isn't rented. I could move into that, it's pretty ruff, but I live in a truck half the time. Truck and trailer will get in it easy. No internet. Trailer is front of property. This has income, but is being a distant landlord going to work?

There is an old house in illinois for nothing, needs roof and foundation work. 35k good internet, truck and trailer would be hard to get on and off.

Another illinois house for 70k. Older, decent shape. Big lot, 2 acres, no internet. Both illinois houses are western illinois. Has a garage, but you can see into it. Don't want to keep valuables in it.

I’ve often thought of a place like the Indiana house. Having renters that keep the thieves away, while gone. Maybe even cut the grass, for a rent discount. The arrangement could always go the opposite way, if they’re a bunch of dope fiends, or their friends are. An older early retiree would be ideal. Living in the trailer, while fixing up the farmhouse sounds ideal. Instead of having everything in the way inside the farmhouse. Once moved into the farmhouse, quick facelift on the trailer, rent it out. Ideally one of the renters would be in charge of running the place. Keeping an eye on things, letting you know of any problems. Extra income is a bonus. Helps while you’re on downtime.
