Sleep Anea mostly a scam Thanks this.

If someone thinks sleep at is a scam I don't think we can change their minds. In a real sleep lab they can see if someone is sleeping, so they would not count events if your not sleeping. Plus not sure why anyone awake would stop breathing for 10 plus second to even get Events of sleep apnea when they are awake. If someone is have trouble breathing out against the CPAP air pressure. That person may need a BiPAP. Those machines can lower air pressure. You don't get that info at the trucking companies sleep apnea test. They usually go for just wearing the most basic test system.
If someone has sleep apnea is much better to see if they go into REM sleep. Then adjust or find the correct pressure for fixing sleep apnea. Otherwise people are just hoping the CPAP is finding the correct pressure. If someone needs a BIPAP they will never know and think CPAP is fake or does not work. A sleep apnea EVENT is not breathing for 10 seconds. If someone can see the sleep test you can look yourself and see if they are counting EVENT or AHI that are not really 10 seconds long. To see if they are scamming the someoneLast edited: Apr 23, 2021

http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t74405/poisoned-by-water-chamber-plastic-fumes.html I think that says enough for me I used one for just a few days and had chest pains. I've read guys die of heart attacks while hooked up to those cpap machines. I guess someones water reservoir ran out while they were asleep and it melted blowing plastic fumes into their lungs for hours. I'm scared and I only used one for maybe a month. Who knows how much toxic fumes those things blow out just normally.
I've never seen anyone test for plastic particles before. Physicians need to be criminally investigated for those machines or they need to treat those machines like cigarettes having warning labels on it and if people want to use them that should be up to the individual not forced onto everyone.
If I'm tired I'd like to just go to bed that's easy to do, but the ELD's are over burdening maybe relax ELDs on company drivers, and abolish ELDS for owner operators. Company's will run drivers into the ground, but trying to remedy fatigue caused by ELDS with cpap machines that probably blow out plastic particles is just idiotic and kind of embarrassing that someone came up with these things individually. Also there's been upticks in accidents since ELDs and Cpap machines have been forced onto drivers there's no random coincidence.Last edited: Apr 24, 2021

I think it should be up to the driver.

Wow that's really specific. Are you a cpap specialist? You seem pretty informed and are trying to promote cpap machines. -
This guy on youtube is sleep lab guy and seems to know lots of info we would not normally get. His video are not the best quality production but he seems to give out good info. He did video how some sleep doctor just look at sleep apnea Events and don't double check to make sure it's really an Event. Basically some just go by what the computer says vs looking at a sleep report manual to check the sleep apnea Events.
gentleroger Thanks this.
