Its good to hear from you, and glad to see that things are working out for you at your new job. I haven t been nowhere near Anniston lately to stop and say hello. I miss working with you. You were a very good worker here. Just hated to see things turn out the way they did

    Lonesome and LDYTRUCKER Thank this.

We have a few customers with that type of docking system. At first you think you re going to damage the tandems on the trailer, but after a few times, its like oh ok

I finally made it to Grand Forks this morning. Emptied out around noon, and went to speak to everybody and turn in my paperwork. I went in to get my next load. I went ahead and took a restart since I only have 15 hours picking up next 3 days. I pick up in Grand Forks going to Louisville for Friday am.

Since I m low on hours I went ahead and wrote my truck up for a PM since its only 2,000 miles from service. Thankfully, they were nice enough to put me in a hotel for the night to get a break out of that truck for a night or two

I thought about going there awhile back. I went to one day of orientation and decided it wasn't for me. I told them I had decided to not move on with the hiring process.

I had driven my own car there and stayed at a friends house, so they weren't out any money. They said they understood and we parted ways.

A few months later I found out that they dinged my DAC for quitting without notice and something else like that. I called to ask why, because I thought we parted on good terms. They said that because I took a drug test and passed I was technically an employee. lol.

Then they called me awhile later and offered me a regional job. I said no. I don't know how they are as a company but that left a bad taste in my mouth. The DAC thing was no big deal when I found a different job but it seemed kind of petty and mean to me.

I think I remember you saying you went for orientation and it wasn't right for you. Any good company would have been ok with that, and moved on. I'm not happy they did that to you, but it kind of makes me feel better that I'm not the only one. I feel awful if someone decided to work there based on my posts, and ended up getting burned. I really don't know how or why they've changed so much as a company over the last few years, but respect for good drivers started going to the wayside as they tried to grow. I suppose that could be any company once it stops being more about a "family" environment and starts being more about the money.

I am glad to hear that the ding on your DAC didn't have much effect, and you found a place. I haven't checked my DAC, who knows what they put on it, but until the day comes where I need to worry about it, I have kept all of the documentation to fight it.

Keep the dirty side down driver! And stay safe.

I haven t been up to much lately. Did a restart and a truck serviced. Got loaded and delivered in Louisville Friday morning. Went 6 miles away to reload for this long 360 mile trip from Louisville to Birmingham for Monday. Got to the house late Friday night. I don t know how to act finally getting through the house.

I haven't checked in in a while, but that's probably a good thing, lol. There are ups and downs with most things in life, but the swings in emotion here have been as wild as anything I've experienced. We've been to a couple of great places and a few bad ones, but that's to be expected. In Vegas now headed to CA. I'm hoping things continue to trend positively. I wish you all success wherever you are.

I’m chilling at the house right now. Enjoying 2 full days off for only the 2nd time since I’ve been back at it. Unfortunately being salary I can’t say I’m getting extra pay for leaving a day early, and in the case of last week getting home a day late.

Still can’t complain about the time off factor at all or the new truck. Glad to see you finally got thru the house @bigkev1115. Hoping everyone is well!!

After I left the house, I delivered to Birmingham, went back home took care of business that needed to be taken care of. Tuesday, I loaded in Cullman and went to East Brunswick, NJ. After East Brunswick, I went to Havre de Grace, MD and picked up a 3 pallet 960 lb load bound to Winnipeg. Got to the yard, dropped it. I played mechanic/yard dog trying to find a decent trailer. ABS lights lit up, and big holes in the walls of the trailers that nobody seems to know how to write up and put in the OOS lot.

Finally, it came down to taking a VB series which most drivers hate because of the weight of the trailers, or the T series which are the junk trailers. I ended up taking a V13 series. At least everything works, and had 8 new tires on it and a fresh annual inspection.

I made it to Fargo, got a truck and trailer wash, laundry, and haircut. Now just waiting to load Monday morning to go to Florida, and from Florida back to Anniston. Should finish out the week with 4400-4500 miles
