He would've been better using fuel injection for streetability, but ####, that intake and carb setup is a thing of beauty.

Another story of people going fast here in Maine. I used to volunteer my time at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. They have a 1906 Stanley Steamer racer. There is no throttle. Either it is on or off.

Story has it the owner wanted to take it for a spin. He decided that he would drive south on I-95 from Augusta and turn around down in Portland. So he got his turnpike ticket in Augusta and the road was clear. I think it was a Sunday morning. The fellow opened the throttle and left it open. He said the car went very well. When he was down by Lewiston he thought he heard a siren. Looked in the mirror and didnt see anything. Story has it he got to portland and was topping off the water reservoir when a state trooper rolled up to him with lights and siren. The trooper got out and asked if the owner was ok and if the car wass all original, The owner conffirmed and said he was about to get turned around and make the return trip home. The trooper said he wouldnt give the guy a ticket, as the barracks would all be laughing at him. The trooper said on his return trip go no faster than the slowest vehicle. The trooper claimed the car to have been running at 128 mph! The owner begged for the proof and could not get it in writing.

It was the story that was told back in 1985.

In Arizona we can choose where our state income tax is spent. Like this private Christian school. You can even pick the student. $1,000 limit. I spread mine across two schools, and two charities. One for the elderly, the other a shelter that gets people back on their feet.

That’s actually good. While I do have a problem with tax money going to some things. The fact you can choose to fund various things that have community value, i like.
