The problem is that he’s just starting out,and a lot of companies aren’t going to start new drivers with a higher wage right off the bat. Especially with less than one year’s experience. Especially from a trucking company’s insurance standpoint.

 

The OM and I are both shocked and appalled to hear this.
Otter used to post his own spreadsheets and he was on track to make like $125K year, and his dispatcher was his friend.

And he got paid $25 to pee too. P2

 

When the OP stated they are getting .43 a mile, I thought I was reading a 10 year old post.

 

When I started at Western Express,they started me at .26 cents a mile (no,it’s not a typo or misprint)
That was back in 2014.
I’ve moved on since then but I did have to get the experience first.

 

Wonder if they think the same about their drivers damaging the trucks. They don’t stop when they hear the cab extensions/fairings crunch, they keep going till the crush some of the sleeper. Been seeing that a lot lately with WE tractors.

And the flatbeds hauling mulch with one strap on the last two pallets sitting on side of road with a shifted load....sometimes to the point of falling over

 

Never have heard a single positive thing about this “western express “

I have not experienced any of the BS described here. I have been with Western for 2 1/2 years and am treated more then fair. My dispatchers are easy to work with! I am on my 2nd BRAND NEW truck! I run Monday morning to sometime Friday a and do shorter runs and always am home weekends.We just got a $ 300 a week raise and have had 2 6 month contracts which pays me $2500 each in two installments.So maybe you people that have issues should consider the problem is in the mirror!
