Post flatbed load photos here V2.0

6,000lbs. This stuff is kind of a pain to haul, and catches a lot of wind, but it's not always a bed of roses. Stopped four times already to check on it, and added the vee-board at this last stop. Trying to save their "smoke tarp", lol. Pretty ghetto, but it matches the truck.

 

Ill never forget when i was with swift. Took a load of that crap. No tarp at all. Driving thru some nasty wind , a big gust came , looked in my mirrors and seen insulation panels flying everywhere in a billion pieces...


that was like my 2nd load ever. My only ever freight claim filed against me . .. Crazy part is i had 2 straps on first bundle along with 2 cross straps on front of the first bundle . wind still got a hold of it...

Luckily I covered my rear and took pictures of the load before i hit the road and showed it was secured to the company policy...Dispatches fault for saying no tarp, but unfortunatly we had to tarp everyload from then on....

 

Yikes! It's windy as hell right now too.

 

I just stopped for the night in Great falls, its windy as heck here. Gonna run highway 87 to 200 over to Glendive tomorrow. Is that a decent route? Are you delivering in Eureka by chance? Thats where I was...

 

Dang man i was just in great falls this morning delivering, then reloaded in helena... Highway 200 this morning from missoula to great falls was a frickin warzone with all the deer . i dodged 6 of them and that was only the ones that ran in front of me ! There was atleast 10-15 herds standing on side of the road. Thinking about buying a tank for whenever i got to take that highway anymore, that way i can just blast them out of the way hahahah...

Not sure about hwy 200 from great falls to glendive never been that way before but it really shouldnt be to bad i wouldnt think...but ya im headed up to eureka delivering some fence posts to northwest metals

I've been considering replacing my bumper guard with a pilot/cow catcher. I'm sure it would work with deer just as good as the intended 4 wheelers.

 

GTFOH... I delivered to a small jobsite directly across the street from there this morning. You will see the stuff I delivered sitting outside. Right next to that little church... Four corners grill at the corner of 93 and highway 37 allows truck parking, good food too. Its like 1.5 miles from where you deliver.

Ya deer have been insane thats why I stopped for tonight... im only driving in daylight here because of how bad they are.

 

Thanks for the info ! Im gonna park there Sunday then, never stayed up there before..thats crazy were going to basically the same place... Next time u come up this way were gonna have to get u some of those rock loads . their yard is right there in kalispell . i know guys take that crap to cali. Always see western express loading out of there , probably dont pay worth a dang tho lol

 

Ive found if u drive on the rumble strip it scares the #### out of then and then they go scattering. The only problem with that is now u have 15 deer all running different directions right in front of you
