I never called the cops but probably should have.....Like the time I ended up on a "No Trucks" parkway in N.J. and I had to drive down the middle lane so that I could clear the bridges.
How many of you have had to call the police to help get out of a jam?

No but I had one run up on me once in PA when I really needed him. Had a 14'6 wide tank on a stepdeck and came to a turn where it said trailers over 28ft prohibited. I parked it in the centre turn lane because there were no shoulders and sent the pilot to check it out.
About this time a state trooper shows up wtf are you doing lemme see your permit rawr rawr rawr.
Once I explained everything and he saw I was in the right he just shook his head at how retarded the people that do permits are (his words)
He went down the road ahead of us. I was riding the middle still taking tree limbs and inches from mailboxes on either side. He had 4 wheelers sitting in driveways and ditches all the way down that road. I don't know what we would have done otherwise.Last edited: May 5, 2021

I'm local and know my area. I've never called a cop for help, but I have called a farmer when i was in a weather related jam. They were always excellent about helping me out. Once i was stuck halfway up an iced over hill, the town did a terrible job treating the road that morning. I called harkins dairy farm where I pickup milk. They immediately came with two skid steers, one with sand one with a blade. They did what the town should have done. Plowed and sanded the roadway.
Labrador, Brettj3876 and TokyoJoe Thank this. -
Never called the cops out to help, but, one time, they were already on the scene. They were very pleasant and helped me to get turned around. The wreck they were working was real bad and they knew we'd be there for a while. They gave me directions around the accident and sent me on my way.
Labrador, Savor the Flavor and slow.rider Thank this. -
