@ethos how's life treating you on the outside?

 

Certainly can't complain! I am still teaching, same school, we are testing today so that means I just sit here and do a bunch of nothing. Figured I could play around on the old site, see what everyone was up to. How are you these days?

 

Trimac is shaping up. Trying to develop a driver recruiting program that makes some sense...to professional drivers, lol. The suits tried it and failed.

 

I don't think I ever said the reason why I left Trimac on here. I was sick one day and they wanted me to do a run, a crappy one. We used to have a run between the Bay Area and L.A that you were supposed to do in a day. It sucked, because you would always be up against your hours and would have to fight to find a place to park around L.A. Never an easy task. Anyway, I called off and was accused of malingering. I was taken aback, I had never called off before. I called Superior within a few days and was gone in 2 weeks. I couldn't believe how the manager treated me. In retrospect, I am sure he was just having a stressful day but anyway, that is why I quit.

 

The Chattanooga dispatcher told me Heniff has many loads that require intransit during the winter. I have yet to get one though. I’ll steam up before I pump that through my engine. That’s if they pay for steam, $1,100 to steam for 10hr in Blue Grass Iowa!

 

Hello, wondering if you can tell me what the O/O average of of the Pasadena and Channelview terminals? And do both have local lanes?

 

Is Heniff worth a flip driving for as a company driver? I was thinking about applying with them.

I recently applied to Heniff as a new driver for their training program and they just told me I’ll have to take a road test with them. Does anyone know if that road test is the same as the one I took in school? Just trying to prepare myself as much as possible.

 

I know when we were superior carriers when I would give a road test I made sure that it included freeway driving, left turns, right turns and railroad tracks.

I have not given any road test since we became heniff so I’m not sure how they want to do road test going forward, I’m pretty sure they’ll let me continue doing what I’ve been doing. Also I’m out of the Pasadena Tx terminal so whatever terminal you are out of may do their road test a little differently
