I'm wondering about that too. But if they bump up our CPM as much as they did the last time, they might actually keep me around longer than I had planned.

 

How much was the last increase? That was before my time.

 

I can't even remember now. I think it was either 4 or 5 cpm. Like others have said, though, if they want to remain competitive they're going to have to do something substantial. I see reputable companies like Ecklund advertising 60+ com. Ag Trucking, a smaller food grade tanker outfit out of Goshen, IN is offering something like 65 cpm if I recall correctly. Here I am with 3 years exp and only getting 49 cpm before bonuses. I make pretty good money at that rate, but I sure ain't gonna complain if I make more. That house ai bought back in 2019 is 121 years old. She needs a little love, and that kinda love requires money.

 

That last big raise totaled 7 cpm....but like always they also took things away when they gave it....lowered safety bonus, etc

 

I think they also took away paid vacation for drivers on straight pay. You could still take off but it was unpaid.

 

I think every company is going to be paying more if summer travel picks up like they predict and the tanker yanker shortage continues.

 

Don’t know what superior beverage pays security guards but I might be in the wrong line of work. The guy here has a 2020 corvette.

 

On my way to pick up my seventh trainee. Will be my 4th trainee who I should have from beginning till end. I believe 5 of the first 6 are still with Millis.
My 5th one got into his truck never heard from him again. I did lose my extra pay a month into his own truck apparently he doesn’t like cab extenders since he took out both.

1st trainee has been here an unofficial year. He quit after 2 months being in his own truck then came back a month later after seeing the grass isn’t greener.

2nd trainee had 2 other trainers before me she is still here she had a trailer boo boo about 3 months I.

3rd trainee just completed her 6 months in accident free. She by far is my superstar. She came to Millis homeless and way out of her comfort zone. First couple days we would be on the highway with flashers on because she was terrified. Yesterday she signed the papers and bought a house.

4th trainee had another trainer before getting in my truck. He is doing alright nothing spectacular he just switched to regional.

5th trainee ughhhhh!!!! I was his second trainer.

6th trainee just got into his truck this past Friday. As long as he slows down his thinking and doesn’t rush he should have success.

Man do I not miss training lol. I think 2 or 3 of mine are still there. I actually talked to 2 of them today just to shoot the #### and check and see how they were doing. Props to ya man I know it's not easy and can add a ####load of stress to your day that no amount of $$ is worth.
