It takes a special breed to stay away from home as long as some of y’all do to chase a dollar. It wouldn’t be for me but I don’t knock those of you that do. I don’t make 90K like some on these threads brag that they do. But I don’t live in a truck either. I’ll stick with my 80k and be home on the weekends to spend it. Y’all be safe out there!

You're making 80k gross on the regional route as an FCC driver? Are you a company driver or owner operator?

If you're a company driver 80k is #### good money. Everyone on this thread never seems to give exact pay numbers or CPM numbers for company drivers, with the exception of RunningMan in regards to his financials but he wasn't a company driver. So I always assumed the average at FCC for OTR company drivers was around 60k per year, maybe 65k if you're not taking much home time.

$80,000 per year is good money for dry van as a company driver on a regional route with 1.5-2 days off per week. Hell that's good money for any OTR driver in any sector really.

CPM varies with Driver Experience and may differ from driver to driver.

My Base CPM is 50 (review coming in July)
OTR is +4 soon to be + 6 with new bump
Flatbed is +8 soon to be higher too
Bonus CPM will now be between 4-6

so based on my last two quarters I’ll soon be at 50+6+6 or 62 CPM

But, the true value I place on any company is the willingness for drivers to want to work there and are the employees happy… while CPM does, for me, contribute to being happy, I’m actually much more happy here after dealing with our fine folks in Safety, Shops, and never needing to get pissy with my DM or Planners.

I know the plan for at least the next three days and never have to get mad or raise my voice or even call my DM if I don’t. It just flows. The Shops are awesome and I actually look forward to taking my truck in for its 8k Shop visits… safety takes good care of us… and I rarely drive tired because of how they Plan us. It happens on occasion yes but very very rare… whats the best safety feature of our trucks??? The folks planning us back in Fremont.

and as a bonus, no one here has EVER raised their voice to me and I’ve never FELT the need to raised my voice to them…

now, if you just read that post and took away “oh, he makes 62 CPM as a Company Driver”… well, you missed the whole point.

Hey thanks for replying with specific numbers this is good info! I've actually asked a lot of questions in this thread before (you've answered a few of them, you might not remember my username but you've helped me out in this thread as well). So I already knew FCC was a great company with how they treat drivers. The only thing I was unsure of was pay as I never see specific numbers (outside of RunningMan) thrown out for company drivers like they do in the LTL threads on this forum or even the Magnum Thread on this forum.

I only commented on the pay because the poster above me mentioned 80k like it was a small amount compared to what other FCC drivers were making........ 80k is #### good money for OTR, much less regional!

This is the first time in this thread I've seen specific numbers being thrown out in a long time so it's nice to see those hard numbers. Thank you for that.

Out of curiosity, the $0.50 CPM is the absolute bottom base pay for a driver being brought in as an FCC OTR dry van driver who has only 2 years experience (which is the minimum OTR experience FCC requires to get hired on with them), right? So basically soon it will be $0.56 CPM starting out at the bottom pay scale with FCC in that division (with potential for bonuses), right? Or no?

If that's correct then that sounds good. It's good to see good companies raising the pay for us drivers, including what FCC has done with their raises.

I didn’t say anything about the range just what I make here. And yea, 50 CPM is within that range but don’t assume I started at the bottom.

A lot depends on the individual drivers history and record… yes I think two year minimum is expected but that too might be flexible depending on specific issues. I don’t know about that aspect as I came here with more than two years experience so it never came up.

are you interested in coming on board?
If so, where do you live and and what CPM are you making? How much experience do you have? Clean record?

From this Drivers View, FCC is a great company and always looking for great drivers… feel free to DM me here if you are uncomfortable answering the questions above.

Also, we have many different and awesome drivers posting in this thread… while I won’t speak for the post you referenced, please don’t assume all comments come from FCC drivers… might just be one if the awesome folks following this thread that was adding to a conversation…

and don’t tell my wife that regional drivers make $80k or else she will be looking into finding me a Regional gig… lol

If you were speaking of my post I don't work for FCC. I work for a private fleet in the Dallas area.

I have no desire to go to work for a mega as late in the game that I am with my career. If I did FCC would be the first call I made. Seem to be some good folks to work for.

My understanding was the 4 and 6 bumps were on the quarterly bonus not mileage. My new employer is starting me at .62cpm, $500 per quarter bonus first 5 quarters as a sign on, sick days and more home. After a year with FCC I went from.50 com to .51. They are a little behind on pay, but the home time was the kicker. The difference in pay assuming similar miles makes my house payment....
