Speaking of improper lane changes, I watched a county sheriff pass me last night with no signal, pass the fed ex double in front of me with no signal, then jam on his brakes and flip a U-turn in front of the fed ex truck. Two lane highway, no emergency lights. Wish I got it on video but my camera sucks in the dark.

5 to 1 odds, it's a company imposed "out of service".

There are no points assessed until there is a conviction.

File an appeal on the unemployment. You never know, you may win. I had to do it, and I won too. Not your circumstance, but you don't know until you try.

By law, the only thing you need to report to your carrier is a conviction, but having to be towed made that point moot. Yes, you can be let go for a charge or even a warning if the insurance company says so, especially with a lane change violation or a speeding ticket even if no mishap occurred.

A large insurance company did this regularly, they were privy to information on pending charges and also on warnings, two drivers were let go at a former employer for lane change warnings, there had been a history of those violations for both drivers, but they were both very experienced.

thanks for all your input.i will find out dec 10 at latest,i know that it's probaly up to their ins. company if all fails do any of you know a trucking company that would still hire me if i get screwed? the county sherrif was first on scene, and he said(after checking my licsense)that if it was safe to drive after i got it towed out of the field ,that i could just be on my way,but said the state police had pulled in behind him and they would have questions also.the state trooper added the driving while fatigued, and the improper lane change.he was not a witness to the incident ,so how did he know that i had not use a signal to pull over? fresh blacktop and no rumble strips yet.since my speeding tic yr and half ago i have always set my cruise control 1 or 2 mph under any posted speed limit.
if any one knows a company that will give you a chance, please let me know.i live in the dayton, ohio area
    thanks to all
happy holidays to all drivers out there
