Thank you, sir. I usually post pictures of my loads over in that thread. I love that truck. ISX 625/2050 3.73 on tall 22.5 with 46k rear axles. But I baby her. Run about 68mph. That’s what my trailer tires are rated for. Anything over 70mph is just money out the top of the stacks.

That's what I do aswell. I run 68 max. Kinda sucks running across Wyoming getting passed by everyone and everything, but it saves me at the pump, that's for sure. Only thing that sucks is climbing hills. Because I always get stuck behind some company driver with 300hp getting passed by the other company truck with 350hp that can go 1/2 mph more. That is really frustrating. I found out the hard way some years back that trucks can't be in the left lane going up grapevine hill. I honestly had no idea when I got pulled over. Owell, can't go there anymore anyways.....which is more than OK by me.

Smart setup right there. I know how that 625 can push you back onto the seat....and drop the fuel gauge if you keep it up.

Same here I run 67-68. Whenever that happens I'll pick up the pace for a bit and get out of the pack. The ones that try and race you down hill because they're governed piss me off the most

It's not so much that they're trying to race you down hill, as it's just trying to get a little time or get a run on the next climb. When your throttle won't kick in until you're already below power, ya take everything you can get.

Quite the contrast to what I’ve been running most of the year.

Since I changed my truck up at the beginning of the year I’ve had a hard time ,,,,,ummm,,,,, managing myself.
I’ve spent the last 2 weeks backing down out of it and dropping 1/2 a gear which is what I actually built it for. It runs perfectly comfortable at 70 in 12 gear.

But I like the way it rolls at 75 (or so, cough cough) in 13th gear but mileage has taken about a 1/4 mpg hit since I made the change. But I was definitely running 5 mph higher average over last 10k miles I’m sure?

You guys and your high speed limits.

I exist where the regulators insist that I keep it roundabouts 60. (plus or minus five, usually plus)

That's what I'm talking about. They will race you to the next hill because they think they need the momentum. Then cut you off as soon as they loose said momentum and they can't keep up the speed. Then the guy that was behind him in the left lane makes his best effort to get by at 1mph more than you. While I'm hanging out behind the original idiot, having to drop a bunch of gears. I did this dance with a guy in a straight truck across 80 on my ride home. Said dance started when I merged onto 80 wb from hwy 2 in Lincoln, all the way to Ogallala, where I stopped for my reset. Kid you not. It didn't matter if I slowed down or sped up.....there he was. I tried everything to get away from that guy. I'm not a road rage type at all......but that azzhat had me on the verge.....lemme tell ya.

But why and to what end. What do they gain by it? 5....10.....15 seconds. Big deal. All the while causing a big CF in the process.
