It's that turbo. It's to small for that HP.
177148 is a direct Borgwarner replacement for a 475-550 c-15 or E . The B guys use it too but was never designed for them.
The waste gate is set to open at 27-28 psi. So your boost is fine. Your 606 rwhp tells me you got more fuel then that turbo can support and this is why your pyro gets hot also.
I tried that 177148 on a 1LW I had for short time, hated it. Put a 78/1.32 on there and it will run like it's supposed too.

sounds like your engine is making good power already. 606 at the tires is respectful. If I were you I'd hang a 78/1.32 on it and run it. Everyone wants 800hp but have no idea the extra costs and wear/tear that comes with it.

Your right I'm sure if I was actually pushing that kind of power I wouldn't have an issue. But despite what dyno says I'm not getting all that kind of power. Dropping gears on hills still with no weight.

And another reason is because I was running with a friend who has no way near the power and was behind me and was joking he nearly ran into me climbing a hill as I was slowing down to much grabbing gears lol and he was chugging along and we weighed exactly the same lol

I was gonna tagged you earlier about this, I know you and Haney went back and forth(the good ole days about this forum)about turbos and you tried/experimented a particular turbo from a particular performance shop. Glad you chimed in……

Yes. Works perfect for your hp .

Now if your going to put the screws to it with 800hp then there are other options as others have stated.

Just keep in mind, you want to play you might have to pay....

Are you talking 800 rwhp? That's like 1000 at fly wheel. I'm content with the current 600rwhp. And I'm sure once I get proper turbo it wil make huge differance from this under powered turbo and I will actually feel the true hp lol

Much appreciated for the help amd advice
