I've got all the supplies on order. I ended up with a seaflo 1.2GPM diaphragm pump with a 35psi switch; a scepter 5 gallon jug for supply; a 6" deep buffet pan like suggested; a sink sprayer; and the fittings for hooking up and a valve in the middle to adjust flow for the sprayer. I figure it'll be easy enough to get any extras that I need in the future for a different setup but it's all good for what I need right now.

Honestly this is easy and you don't have to do all that. Primo water jug and the USB rechargeable dispenser that goes on it. It's what I am using. It sits right behind the passenger seat. I use a gallon jug for coffee and fill it from that. If I wanted I could just set it up on the table over a container to wash my hands or dishes. But honestly I don't need to use it for that.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
it’s a pretty handy setup… but no hand sprayer.Rideandrepair and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
I did a search on USB dispensers. Had no idea they existed. That’s the perfect solution. So much for my ancient idea. Lol. That’s what I’ll get.

Put it together. We'll see how it goes. Got two scepter water cans to put the suction side in.
I kinda waited till the last minute to decide on the power supply side. Walmart had a 12v plug that claimed to differentiate between positive and negative. It does not. Luckily I have some multimeters around. Also they didn't have any split loom so I'm stuck with bare wires.
Dieselboss, God prefers Diesels, MidWest_MacDaddy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Plastic cutting boards make good backing plates. HDPE is easy to drill and waterproof which I hope does not come into play.

Have somewhat fantasized about the idea of a large holding tank suspended from tracks stored under my bed. Use the tracks to slide it out of the side door and lower it into a shopping cart to take into a walmart and refill.Dieselboss Thanks this. -
My truck came with a sink inside of a drawer. It has a water tank and a pump. It is an amazing thing to have for washing my hands and face and brushing my teeth.
