That’s just it a lot of the folks don’t get their start at a mega fleet and spend weeks being trained. That 20min spent with him might have saved you hours if he’d lost that load

 

My hats off to you. We all had to learn somehow. Giving good advice makes a guy feel good. When somebody says thank you and actually means it, makes ya feel even better.

 

Thanks @cke. I can't guarantee he made it to delivery safe. But better than what he was doing. Plus I agree, we all had to learn. Hell I still have a first day once a week, or I ask myself that. Worst, does anyone else have those days you drop everything? All day long. Just asking for a friend.

No, if I start the day dropping things then I quit picking stuff up so I can’t drop anything else.

 

I'm not chicken anything, just not gonna put myself in a situation I don't need to be in when I get snapped on for trying to offer advice.

 

Still, ya gotta try. Don't we owe that to ourselves and the people we share the road with?

 

Whenever I go to offer advice the first thing I say is “I’m usually not one to tell someone else their business but...” and 9 times out of 10 I can usually communicate with someone without any issue. Most people I offer advice to are usually receptive. I know I am unless someone acts like a smug know it all then I ain’t got time for that!
