Park at the scale, call the agent, tell them you'll be happy to return to sender if'n they don't cough up the dough.
Bean Jr., alds and Xenergiserx Thank this. -
call them and see what they are willing to do. this happens more than it should. with the current market i bet the will pay more. if they don't take it back and move on
Xenergiserx Thanks this. -
Deliver the load.
You can call the broker and ask them to add some to the rate. If they do great. If they don’t, too bad.
You could take it back to the shipper and tell them to take it off. If you do that, get ready to be charged for that.Trucker61016, Brettj3876 and Xenergiserx Thank this. -
Wow this sucks . Well I guess I’ll do espresso lane said . Next time I book a load. I’ll ask what happens it’s it more weight.
-
It works both ways. Every load I book has to be profitable at max weight regardless of the actual weight.Snailexpress, God prefers Diesels, Ruthless and 4 others Thank this. -
Did you book it as a full truckload or and LTL hoping to add more to it?
-
Book every load as if it's going to be 45,000 pounds. I just got home from a full truckload I was expecting to be 34,000 pounds, and it turns out it was 3,400 pounds. Saved a bunch on fuel this trip.

Unless you are traveling through the mountains or you are traveling across the country and you think the extra weight will really make a real difference... you can ask them but I wouldn't expect too much. It does go both ways as the other person said.
More importantly, I think you should call the receiver and make sure you have an appointment.
Tql does all kinds of crazy stuff. The extra weight may be the least of your problems.Vampire, Trucker61016, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Doesn't matter they rent the space on the trailer
