I am driving in oilfield in Alberta during winter and free in summer. So I think maybe I can do RV/Boat hauling in summer.
I already did some research but so confused on insurance. If the pickup registered under personal title, US RV transport company provides cargo insurance and liability when I tow a RV for them. What kind of insurance do we need in Canada? because US company also asked CVIP report to set me up. I think I need registering my pickup as a commercial vehicle first, right?
Hopefully there still are some people working with US RV transport company and give me some helpful information. Thanks

Calling Saskatoon hotshot service would be a good place to start.

You will never make any money hauling rv's. There are no backhauls and you only get paid for the loaded trip. If you use a pickup it will quickly turn into a pos.
Sleeping in a pickup sucks. Next time you are in a truck stop take a look at the "haulers". They are wierd people. Almost a cult. Most never shower.ericguan Thanks this. -
Usually retired guys who want to get out of the house. Local fellow tried it,,,his decaying corpse was found in Indiana,,died peacefully in his sleep at truck stop parking lot

I was always curious about the guys that deliver new trucks from the manufacturers? Do they make any money? How does it work? What about ELOGS? I'm retiring end of next year, so I'm told... I will need a regular road trip or I'll go crazy...
