Widow, I was a "good" uncle and went. So glad the program was only 45 minutes. 6, 7, and 8th graders on violins and cello's was......interesting. Had a couple of sour notes there that made my hair stand on end. lol It was a good evening tho and glad I was here. Shhhhhhh, don't tell my family I said that tho. hahaha

Good uncle! (patting you on the head now) LOLOLOLOL ok time to call 1bad and see if he is getting close I'm getting sleepy now! -
Adios Central... After a week and a half of driver training, I packed it in. Didn't like what I was seeing first hand at Conley. I wish you all the best, and "Keep on Truckin!" I will drop in from time to time, but for now my OTR driving career is on hold. I'm going to take my driving test on my own (with a friend's truck and trailer), and drive with him occasionally (GA and AL) to get some experience, then wait a couple of years until my wife decides to come with me, and then I'll hit the road. After doing the math, I'd rather work for peanuts and be at home than be gone for 330 days a year and never home and still make peanuts. Regardless, I don't think they cared much for me at Conley. If you trained there I'm sure you know what I mean. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, I hope Santa is good to you and all your family, and please stay safe out there. Peace, Scott

Well geeze 1 Bad, if you'd only quit hitting deer, tearing your brakes up, etc...... it wouldn't be worn out. lol
Your right about this job not being for everyone. Glad that it IS for me tho and that I do enjoy what I do.....most of the time.
DeaconScott, thanks for at least letting us know something. So many people start on here, with high hopes, then just disappear. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. -
Well, on Monday Dec 14th I'll be going to Central's refresher course in Salt Lake.
I have a couple of questions for this thread. How often do Central's drivers get sent to NYC? How many different shippers and receivers in NYC does Central go to?
Also, when a driver gets enough experience with Central are there any dedicated routes that are out of either Idaho or Utah?
Thanks. -

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Good luck getting him to help. He is a body man by trade but do you really think he does it when he doesn't have to anymore. Used to live in the garage working on everyone else's stuff but never.........oh nevermind so not worth the arugement this might insue. -
1bad is off and running to Augusta (may make it by here for his 10 on the way to IA). I got a funny feeling we won't see him again till after Christmas. Got lucky and he was home for Thanksgiving. So just keeping our fingers crossed they will get him home for Christmas too. With Kraft shutting down for 4 days at Christmas maybe we will get him!
