My husband also uses a lot of grounds...has to be strong! He also gets the expresso shots from the pilot...

Call me a snob or whatever you want, just have a steaming hot cuppa joe when I get there!!

You are absolutely right about temperature, that's why I want Santa to bring me one of these this year...

I've been a good boy this year, but I still suspect that on December 26th I'll be using my French Press... sorry, Freedom Press when I want to see what my coffee can do. That box under the tree is nowhere near big enough to to hold a Clover machine and she hasn't sold one of the kids to get the money to buy one! :biggrin_2553:

I avg at least 36 cups a day. 3 pots and some days more. I came in and started posting when I got off this morning and have already drank 2 pots, not counting what I had when I was working.

If you have to add anything to it, it isn't good coffee.

For truck stop coffee I'll take Pilot, but I prefer Green Mountain when I can get it. In answer to that water making ya have the trots its happened to me more than I care to admit. Got a sensitive stomach but thats me:biggrin_2554: Also Cumberland Farms coffee is very good try the farmers blend and its only 99 cents for any size :biggrin_25514: and any flavor

I thought the same thing. As you cross different states and cities, the properties in the water change even if ever so minutely. Someone with a sensitive stomach could be effected by drinking different water each day. However, if that person stayed at one location, even if that water caused problems, if that person stayed and lived there eventually he would get used to it.

Another possibility is the different cleaners they use on the coffee pots and equipment at different locations. I once got some coffee at a Quik Trip and it tasted like they had not completely rinsed out the cleaner. I would venture to guess this happens a lot with employees in a hurry.

I've been brewing my own coffee for two years now and it was one of the best things that happened to me. Not just for the flavor, but my stomach feels better as well. I use bottled water, from Wmart for the most part.
