I must have missed it on the website.
But after checking out your Pro-CRE website, I feel sick. How much does CRE pay to to lie for them? -
i talked to an ex cre driver last night who claims he will scan his w-2 and e mail it to me he says he made over 200,000$ and took home less than 20,000

I can see how that can be done, sadly.
I have a buddy, on a "You need to get there right now ASAP load" he's been sitting at the yard he was told to rush to, and has been sitting there for over 26 hours so far, and will be sitting until TUESDAY sometime. Another buddy of mine, in the CAT program, was kicked off the truck because she wouldn't lie on her logs for the driver, who ran 14 hours in a truck without stopping. Truck should have been deadlined too, Jake brake would go on without the floor switch being pushed and the ABS system was going off all the time (trailer and tractor). People, I call and talk to people who I have gone to school with and we are all over the US, but we can't believe what crazy things have happened.
One thing is for sure, this isn't what any of us have signed up for. You can have CRE Skull, and I hope you enjoy it. -

First a quote from another poster:
"Most Reefer outfits do this. It's a reserve fund of I think $280. In case YOU QUIT and abandon your load and truck or destroy a load."
I have never worked for a reefer company that does this. However, it has been a while since I drove, and I've never driven for a hugeantic. I did drive for a medium-sized company fairly recently, and those guys didn't do that.
When I worked for Crete, I had to put down a deposit on some load locks, straps, and a king-pin lock. That is all I ever had to give a company, and I got that back when I left them.
Is this "fund" something new in trucking? It's a good idea, in a way. It helps recover the cost of fetching abandoned rigs. I don't see how it will help with "lost loads" or lost freight, though. Freight is supposed to be insured against any kind of loss.
Also, the ultra-big outfits probably invest this "fund" pool into an interest-bearing account. They make money on your money, money that is worth less later when you get it back (considering inflation). Nice little gouge there. -

You know, Crow. I've often wondered....
What these companies do with all those BOLs they get? Do they have a huge vault somewhere to store these things? Also, for how long do they store their BOLs?
400 bones for a piece of paper at PAM? Sounds like this "fund" is just another rip off. -
Whose sick of the whining by young punks like panda boy here? they think the world owe them a livin. When I come out in '72 and got on with McLean, I did what dispatch told me and just slept when I had to sit. I was happy to have a hamburger stake and not that slop they spooned in the joint. Man I was free to drive and I liked what I was doing. I save money in a bag under my seat and yes I packed too.
All this was fine until a little incedent in '84 caused me to take some time off. I got on with another outfit I won't say which worked fine until 91 when I felt my dispatch could ### so I left her right there in a Sears parking lot with the lights on and took a greyhound back home where I worked hard in pulpwood driving a 6 wheeler back when a man loaded one. All that DAC stuff was a joke when I was savin after the old lady left so when my buddy offered dispatch me and use his authority for a cut, I jumped on an old white and the rest is history.l Now Bigdaddyo might drive too many miles which some babies cry about but he's his own man and sometimes I just park it and watch tv for a week and all the loan guys, dispatch men and even paroll officieres can ###. DO you understand where bigdaddyo is tryin to lead you? Git a towel and dry off behind your ears (an wipe off the sweet blood) and then I can teach you sometheng -
