Paybacks are a %##$&...
I recently got a speeding ticket because of those #### cameras that they just put up....funny thing is, a few days later somebody pulled the camera down, drug it down the road and left it in front of the courthouse.
I have no idea who would do such a thing...but I bet he enjoyed it.
I wonder how many $50 tickets it takes to pay for one of those cameras.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

What log book ???
He's a local driver, and unless his company uses a log book to keep track of his time.
He punched a clock when he came to work.
I'm not implying that he is innocent...or not. I'm merely stating that he get it removed from his DAC. We all know DAC is BS to begin with, for the most part. Why not challenge this?Big Don, Wiseguywireless and 25(2)+2 Thank this. -
Yes but his company keeps records of his on duty. It seems they would also have driver's daily inspection reports filled out and signed by him, Those are still required. All they have to do is prove he was driving that truck on that day and it will stick.

For the time being, we're still a nation of laws. The photo radar...generally has a picture that can provide evidence to the court. But this isn't a court.
And all he has to do, is hire a lawyer.
You're trying to equate documents which can be falsified/omitted, with guilt or innocence. Be careful what you wish for, someone might give it to you.
Joe Smith was murdered in Palm Springs yesterday. How many people drove through there now have a life altering statement on their DAC report ??
It took me 8 months +/- to clear my name of burglary, of my own home. Even though I had unimpeachable evidence that I was over 1000 miles away. With no past, current, or future need of the insurance money. -
If you got three speeding tickets in one week your an accident waiting to happen.
Most companies use insurance that wont cover a driver with that kind of record.
You might be able to get hired by one of the bigger carriers that are self insured.
With the economy in such sad shape they are a lot more selective about who they
hire now.If you keep playing with fire sooner or later your going to get burnt. -
In my 24 years plus of trucking, i have never heard of a Prof. driver getting 3 speeding tickets in one week , so thank you for your for your truthfullness, but who would think of hiring you now? Thank god our trucks are governed!

So guys....
Our industry insurance rates are to be set by DAC reports ??? And they will be, if this line of thinking continues. Never mind the guys actual driving record is spotless.
While I agree the guy shouldn't be speeding. We have to wonder what were the speed limits at the time of the violation. How much over, in each case.
Cameras use a preset limit. What were they ?
We have several things working against us now, in trucking. First our own CDL record. Now we're adding roadside cameras and the CSA reports.
At what point does a driver say to hell with it all?
When they start doing interviews with his neighbors about possible digressions of his/her past ???
What if said neighbor says. "Yeh, he comes through here haulin ### every day." Does this mean they are free to ding your DAC with a reckless driving ???
In my imaginary world. A man is still considered innocent, until proven guilty or he admits guilt.
Up until a week ago, it's wasn't a crime to plead "not guilty". Indiana has changed all that.Wiseguywireless Thanks this. -
I bet this one is paid for. -
wow three speeding tixs in a week' now there is a super trucker for ya'i am glad he is off the road'i mean come on 3 in one week'i tale his cdl away from him and give him a bike' it seems he has a lead foot.

There was some guy driving around in an APE costume in his car..would get these photo tickets each week. (Up to thousands of dollars) and he has challenged each one of them..."PROVE IT WAS ME" is his argument. The cops have started staking out his house to show him getting into the car in the morning. What a #### game.
I am not aware of any photo radar in Milwaukee yet, but down in IL..oh yea. My partner got nailed in his SUV. From the photo, it really looks like he DIDNT run the red light, but its not 100% easy to tell. I told him to fight it. He told me the city said if he just paid the fine in FULL - no points and no word to WI DMV. If he contested it, look out....
