    I must be desensitized to it then because I experienced much worse living in CA all my years. The inland areas are neglected. While the coastal communities play progressive on the outside. But will turn right-wing Karen in a hot second if the slightest bit of poverty shows up anywhere near their cities.

    Honestly, there's nowhere to really run to anymore. All states blow in some way. Just got to find the one that isn't going to inconvenience you/send you into a grave the earliest.

    Yep, if I could, I'd move to Montana or Wyoming, maybe Idaho

    Those winters are brutal and I'm not looking at the cost of repairing an oversized 4x4 if it catastrophically breaks down either. Maybe if I switch careers into something where I don't have to leave the house.

    Until then, I'm sticking here in NM or anywhere that doesn't experience seasons.
