Well this run definetally put me farther east and WAY closer to the NE than I prefer... But I do get into OH, MI, and KY on a regular basis. This time around I delivered a load of potatoes in Cleveland, OH and then dead headed to DuBois, PA for a load of yogurt going to UT.

And in all that distance the only toll road I travelled was that short stretch of 80/294 through Chicago land... Think I only added about 100 to 120 miles to the round trip, but I believe I saved enough avoiding tolls to more than pay for that extra fuel... What's it cost to run the entire length of the ITR and OTP from Chicago, IL to Youngstown, OH???

I am now back in OH where I can idle without worry of a stupid fine.

Drive home tonight sucked, had to stop 20 miles from the barn to close my eyes starting to see what not there and not see what was, 2 18hr day with a 3 hr nap between this 100+ junk can stop.
Get home to Dayton 62*, it was still 101* when I left hermiston, and there are people that wonder why I get sick in the summer 40* temp change may have something to do with it! Fortunately I wasn't in a freezer today 120* swings quadruple suck.

I was gonna say retarder but noticed I was about 6 pages late to the party. The ones I've been around were mounted on or under the dash, never had 1 that convenient. Conventional under, cab over on dash never drove one on the colum.

I had to laugh at the way it worded it though about being for the second trailer, HMMM don't you drag triples quite a bit? Means second third trailer of the wiggle wagon no brakes.

They all have air lines between them. Some Guys open the valve at the back of the rear trailer in winter. Letting it dump some air, instead of braking. I think that’s what I was told once. Can’t help but think about my Dad. He had a wreck, hanging off the edge of a mountain on 1-80 in Pa. by the kingpin. He said when the rear trailer kissed the front left corner of the cab, he knew it was over!! He said he didn’t know that was even possible!! Broken shoulder, had a nice long vacation at Christmas. One of the best Christmas we ever had.

But there not lines dedicated to what ever trailers brakes with there own valve, unless things have changed, used to be pull hand valve all trailer brakes got air(operating properly) then foot brake for everything. That would be a busy colum. Bet Chicago land is already lost.
