Seemed like a lot of people would take the schooling and then burn W/S within 2 months and leave. They probably got sick of it after you invest so much time on each individual. With so many trucking schools that've popped up, they have no problem filling the 10 day courses. Hope ya get where ya need to be warp.

 

So what type of questions does the new safety phone interview consist of? Never heard of that when I worked there. Was called up, told to come over and that's what I did.

 

The school has been charging full tuition for at least 6 months to a year now.

The phone interview for me was about 5 minutes and asked about surgeries I've had, meds I'm on, and if I've ever filed worker's comp and/or work related disability claims...that was all. Then my recruiter called me back in 15 minutes and told me I had the job after training, if I passed the whiz quiz and the HPE

 

what does the HPE consist of?

 

Suggestions for the permit tests:
1. Study the end of the chapter questions
2. Read the questions on the test 3 times so that you understand them before answering
3. Skip the questions you don't know. They may not come up again
4. Do only 1 test at a time then go out & study for the next test. It helps!!
5. If you know your stuff, you'll pass easily but you have to study AND UNDERSTAND why the answer is correct. Don't just memorize the answer (in most cases).

I know some people who just did brief reviews of the CDL manual & they flunked multiple times.

another thing you can do is just go down to dmv and stand in line, when I called they had a waiting list 4 weeks long ( here in Los Angeles) to get an appointment, I just went down 1/2 hour before they opened, stood in the line and a few hours later and 6 written tests later I was out of their with all my endorsements and permit. (much better to get it done with ans stand in line than to wait those extra agonizing weeks for an appt.) I suppose an appointment would have only saved me a 1/2 hour or so because the wait was not that long once in, tho it did take me about an hour and a half to sort through ALL those test at once and pass them. good luck

 

I hope you are right cuz I am due there in Jan. for my 10 orientation.
