Okay, please explain what a die grinder is? Some of us are ignorant and stupid.... namely me. I know all about taps and dyes...dies?... anyhow, never heard of a die grinder.

If that’s the one you got, that’s a good one.

As a mechanic, is there a certain truck you buy off of? One you prefer more than the other?

So I take it to be used to clean everything up after running a die? That would make sense.

Availability dictates my tool choices. Right now the only truck that shows up is Mac. Where I used to work Matco was the only one that'd show up and they always had wicked deals.

Well his pretty pictures aside I was told the if the wheel is aligned with your forearm it's an angle grinder and broken pieces fly at your face. if the wheel rotates sideways aligned with your chest it's a die grinder and pieces fly off to your neighbors

They have a lot of uses. Put a carbide burr in it and you can oval out holes and grind out cracks. You can put buffer pads on it for cleaning off rust and paint.

I work with a lot of stuff where pins get mushroomed out. Usually hit it with a burr to clean it up so pins can slide out.

I'm in Western PA, and the offers are greatly appreciated but I'm trying to keep myself moving before rates crash. I put new bearings in the hub when I built the truck, but the pulley is worn and if I get a little dust stuck to my belt, it'll slip until I spray a little water on it. A fresh belt will usually go 50k or so before it gets broken in enough to slip, so it's not an emergency or anything. It's just one of those things I figured I'd order while it was still available (new stock, no core - and I've heard that the core was $1200 or something crazy like that).

I just did the clutch 4 months ago due to a torn o-ring and built myself a cooling pack puller. It just seems like every time I turn around, I'm draining coolant lol.

This way I don't need to pull the hood or worry about the radiator or cac getting dinged. I just leave it hang while I do whatever and drop it back down when I'm done.
