$3450 for 1 week, team driving before uncle sam took his very large cut, which was about 900-1,000

Two routes in 1 week, plus training pay, plus home time pay, which was 825.00 that week.

I was awfully tired by the end of that week. I had to do all the overnight driving and train a new guy during the day. New guy tried to drive overnight but kept falling asleep behind the wheel. So I took over the rest of the week, ended up smacking a dock one morning the wrong way in the process (minor, no one even seemed care)... was so tired I didn't realize I wasn't thinking clearly enough to back up.

But hey... I got a few Benjamins out of it.

But now that that's all said done, I don't think I would ever ask to do that again. lol. It's a lot of money, but I don't think it's worth it. Take your time for yourself and enjoy a movie and get some sleep. It's better for health. And good health you can't put a price on.

Team for 2 weeks should it not be more, and at Marten Transport under the new pay scale, load went from 68 to 1.19 per mile the shorter the run more per mile. 200. Day breakdown pay, 25 per hour at shipper starting after 15 mins at door. 3700 miles week cleared 1700 to 2300 a week. Sometimes, trainers or team doesn't pay. No privacy, and sharing miles such as, 1.29 sounds great but splitting sucks.

On the other hand you do have someone to talk to. Otr 11 yrs at Marten I was owner op, lease purchase I would never even think of it. Lease purchase is just a glorified COMPANY DRIVER, PERIOD.

Total year INCLUDING military service driver was counted as, 3 yrs but, total 23 yrs. I feel bad for new established drivers. Its not the same, as when I, started to run in 1988. There putting the screws to new drivers

When the government started dictating and elds, I lost about 10,000 year. Most did lose that if not more. Hell, I would run 5000 miles owner op, not now
