After over a year of research, near starts, and almost going with CRST, I will begin my adventure next month with Swift. I will be starting with my cdl that I obtained last year, but due to the length of time without driving, I will have to complete Swift's driving academy. I do not have my exact start date for January, but I should know sometime before Christmas. I am looking forward to sharing this new adventure, and the many roads ahead.

Oh my gosh. Why thank you. This forum and the people on it were so encouraging to me so I'm thrilled that I could be that way for you.

Should you get discouraged at school here are some things I suggest:

    1) talk immediately to your instructor ask for his opinion what you might be doing wrong, ask for extra time practicing what ever that is

    2) do NOT tell yourself you "can't do it".

    3) get on this forum and say what you're having trouble with! People will encourage you and they'll also make excellent suggestions.

You CAN do this. You'll do great and a year from now you'll look back and say "wow I've improved so much!"

Thanks again Nana, for the very good suggestions. I went through a 2 week school (C1) Last July, so I already have my cdl. The backing was a little discouraging at times, but all in all, it was an enjoyable experience. I expect it will be similar with Swift. Regardless, I will keep everyone posted.
