I agree, and not justifying his moronic behavior. I'm so used to hearing shock from brokers/customers because of other guys who contract with my company can't do their job that I laugh now. 1 of my buddies called me back yesterday because he couldn't work with a broker I am working with. He's with a dispatcher that doesn't give a rip if he falls off loads, pre-books when he doesn't know if he's going to meet era's etc... yet he doesn't understand why he's hitting walls I'm not.

Here is a possible aftermarket replacement. I will get it apart on Monday to see if I can by the whole gearbox.

I was sent out west to turn in my truck and pick up my new one.
To that end, I was sent on the donut oil run, as previously discussed.
The truck I am to pick up is in the Greater MSP, MN area.
I am now stuck in the orbit of a travel agent who has a tenuous grasp of the laws of time, space, and physics. Also the laws of truck speed and hours of service.
I am waiting to pick up a load of sunflower oil headed east. The travel agent in question is annoyed because I was "supposed to pick up the new truck first, THEN load!!"
I could not have done it without a jet engine, but I just decided to ignore his text.
I LOVE running out here, (ND,SD,MN,IA,NE,MO,KS), but this guy has SERIOUS "dispatcher disease". ALL of his scheduling is skin tight. I don't run like that anymore.
Well, I'll soon be out of his orbit.
They're moving the railcar. Looks like my turn to load now.Dale thompson, Rideandrepair, JolliRoger and 5 others Thank this. -
I believe the gear box has a brass bushing inside, that is what usually locks up and causes the problem, may be possible to have a machine shop make you a new one, possibly cheaper than going with a new one, would depend on the amount of damage when you open it up.

Menopause is very uncontrollable. I built a screenhouse for the Wife. She lives in it and loves it, that is cool. Problem is, I don't have any menopause symptoms yet.
The screen house is attached to the House, thus the door is open from sometime in April. I'm close to freezing to Death since being a nice Guy.
I have had several conversations with Her, She tells me, You don't understand! I mentioned to her that I'm freezing to death all weekend, Her answer is?
Monday morning will soon be here and You can live in the Rig.
Can't wait for July and August.sealevel, Dale thompson, Rideandrepair and 4 others Thank this.
