I'd say we are 99%+ no touch freight. I've been here two years and have touched freight ONCE...and then all I did was break it down and restack it.

Lumpers are kind of like a company within a company. They are not actual employees of the warehouses but work in the warehouses. They have their own companies.
You put your truck in the dock, go inside, check in, lumpers give you a quote, you go back out to your truck, put n your macro to have it loaded on your card, register your Comchek and wait for them to finish unloading, hand them the check, get your paperwork and off you go.
    Easy....

Sure will, I need someone with an attitude such as yours to show me the ropes of KLLM. I am not into all the negativity that flows through these threads. :biggrin_25515:

Well I call recruiting department this afternoon and ask if they recieved my online application. Took my info and said yes but had so many wanting in orientatin had to delay 24 peoples orientation to a later date. I'm not able to wait a month or 2 to be working. I had to pay 4000 dollars for school traing and no income this month. I so wanted to here a yes please tell me when you would like to come to KLLM. Yall were my first choice. She told me call back in 6 months. I guess I'll be forced to go to Werner end of this month. Everyone at my school says if I do as they say I'll have no problems since I'm a quick learner. One of the inscructor work for Werner for 6 years and loved it along with good money he said. I'm hoping this will be the case with me. We will see. Coming home tonight i saw a KLLM truck pull off the interstate where I live. Funny how things happen, I wanted to be in that truck myself.

Oh man...I love my Hero! One bad little phone! Sprint Navigation, Google Maps, Weather Radar, Local Weather (where ever I am...via GPS), full featured web display and browsing, thousands of free applications and ringtones...too many features to list.
I'll PM you my number. Saved yours in my phone :biggrin_255:

Well's just to give you a head's up. I don't know personally about Werner but from what I understand, if you go there, I'm sorry. :biggrin_2554: However Prime has the best training program there is. It's long and you stay in it for the required time and miles they give you or longer if you need. Training is awsome over there but working for them suck's. FFE, I went straight to my own truck but my room mate in orientation just came out of training and said it wasn't to bad. But however, they are decent to work for but somewhere over there you will find something to b**** about. Mine was not receiving my pay checks in a timely fashion and had to threathen them for my last one because they didn't want to pay me and came up with all kind's of excuse's not to until I finally got fed up and told them to send me my check or I would have them investigated by the IRS and the Labor Board. Ended up getting it in the mail 3 day's later after a month of BS excuses.

    Hope the info helps.
