Electric trucks going coast to coast. I say no. If they are battery powered. Unless government forces it. It's the range that's an issue. Local trucks , they are already getting into that.

I delivered battery packs to, blue bird? School bus builder. A battery powered school bus is 450k and up. A regular diesel powered bus is 80 to 130k.

Idling most companies allow it. Some have temperature restrictions. Others have apus. Starter companies are more likely to have restrictions. When I did tanker work, they didn't care if I idled at all.
