Nothing really interesting going on here... it has been cold... 18 Celsius . And folks wearing jackets and coats and hoods... This no Canada... it's Rio ..





And they say it's gonna be much colder for the rest of the week...
I need more blankets...

 

Do you see any bikes like yours anywhere near your work or home? Or evidence of any other people who might be your tribe? Maybe biking a local but less awesome trail keeping an eye out for repeat faces. Peruse meet-up or Craigslist for local groups?

 

Well finally got an update from MHC. Cyl 3 is dead and cyl 5 is weak at cold start. After a minute or so it clears up and all 6 holes are flowing to spec.

I'm picking it up tomorrow and I'll have the printout with more info.

Going to call the injector shop in little rock and see if he can rebuild those 2 for less than the cost of a reman from cat.

They replaced the ecm coolant temp sending unit since it would only read about 95 degrees. Am I wrong to guess that that could have been part of my mileage issue? The ecm trying to warm up the engine by squirting a touch more fuel?

That's how automotive engines do but that's in order to get the cat up to temp faster to cut down emissions.

Not the news I was hoping for but it's something.

 

Walking in Copacabana this afternoon... nearby "my place"...





Always vendors on the street...



Some have tables but most put their merchandise on the ground..
That Ave. used to be totally filled up with stands of vendors...
I guess now, because of the pandemic n lack of tourists, most vendors are gone...

 

And I noticed, inside of a public bus, someone wrapped in blankets, sleeping on the floor in the back near the door steps ...
A guy walking by noticed that too n tried to warn the driver who didn't care n kept moving...

 

Load cancelled on me for tomorrow. Was supposed to deliver in jersey city at 7am tomorrow but the product wasn't ready. They said it was the 4th shipment of alum coils this week that wasn't here on time. Supply chain issues. Guess im going down empty tomorrow

Still pays good enough to deadhead down empty. Was supposed to reload only a few miles away

 

I usually make casual conversation with folks at the bike park already.

After trying Tinder the idea of using an app to find friends just seems so wrong lol.

That's cool that you are finally getting some answers. I dunno about the mpg thing, but it can't be helping any....that's for sure. Atleast it's a pretty straight forward fix. Good luck.
