Wow! I think it would be cool if they had a pallet jack that was both electric and manual, unless they do already? Only use the motor on those 1500lbs+ pallets.

my company does paint delivery and heavy pallet inside delivery so they provide the electric jack (all our lift gates are maxxons no undertails ) but its not everyday you get one...like today i had a pick up 4 skids @ 3,000lbs each i told the customer unless your forking up electric jack i'm not picking up i cant move those forklift batteries by myself. NO DOCK ground load only he responded " Dont worry boss man we'll take care of you " then proceeds to cough up electric jack....

my company has an area where you can lock up "your" pallet jack that you paid for, and some of the guys here do have a personal electric jack. they said its worth the money over time.

I feel like 2 grand isn't bad if it'll save my back and knees and give me an easier day overall. I'm sure the old dogs want no parts of electric jacks lol.

I’d take one if all I were ever dealing with were chep pallets, but in this job you handle too much different and oddball crap.

Yeah you're right, all different shapes and sizes. I think sometimes people think we're a forklift. I did a residential the other day and it was a 2300lb pallet of pavers from HD and the customer wanted it in the garage, up a sloped driveway. I said best I can do is the curb. They said that's not good enough it has to be in the garage. I asked if they were going to help me push it up their sloped driveway and got the response of that's your job not mine. I simply walked back to the truck, told dispatch what happened and left. I saw them scratching their head in the mirror when I took off.

How many drivers have personalized theirs to prevent this? I would like to think I’m secure enough in my manhood to go the pink camouflage route just to mess with people but I would probably just paint it John Deere green.

That’s a wise precaution with tile. There’s nothing like unloading a 2000 lb skid at somebody’s house only to have it refused because it’s the wrong color.
