I am going to assume you are asking about the sprocket cover securing nut. The sprocket cover is what applies pressure to at least 3 points on the bar at the back end and what keeps the chain from flying off and tearing your wrist apart.
Now, the meat of the issue....and I went out and tore down both my saws....but funny thing...I must have lost the same nut on both my saws....because I can't find a BLADE on either of them!!!
Chainsaws don't have blades....they have a cutting CHAIN that runs around the BAR and is driven by the power sprocket.
It is advised to release the tension on your bar/chain when not in use. Tension can in time effect the bearings in both the bar tip and the sprocket. Also, by loosening the chain when you store it, when you go to use it again, you will be more alert to issues with the chain.
PART #3..."the part that sticks into the log or tree"....are you referring to the FELLING DOG (?),,,,that would be the only part that "sticks into" something being cut. those are the teeth (pointy thingy) at the two sides of the bar attached to the power case frame.

Those nuts can be found at the Stihl authorized maintenance dealer...should have them on hand as they do get lost very easily. or ....

Just to get the vein on your forehead to get squiggly, I would argue that each link on that chain has a blade lol.

Yes I wasn't referring to logo stuff. Business related.. rather the generic sorts of personal decoration. I look at this man's collage as personal not professional. Not unprofessional. But yes pride in his ride most certainly.

Is why I try to keep my money pit looking good. It's all in an attempt to get attention in a good kind of way to get private hauls and avoid the broker when possible.

Didn't intend it to be read as a personal criticism of anyone specific just my own views on fiscal priorities.

Please don't use your chainsaw if parts are excessively wobbly... eliminate the problem first before you get a bigger problem...
Should I find pictures of chainsaw injuries for you? Things can go south in the blink of an eye...
