A couple of questions that come to mind are.
    1) How much experience do you have?
    2) How much capital (money) do you have saved up?

Based on how new you are most likely. I'd find a different company. Most who try to just buy a truck and roll. Usually are broke in a few months.

Trucks are getting really hard to find at this point. So this will really increase your risk of buying a lemon and paying way to much for it to boot.
But it's a great time to start putting pen to paper and running the number to see how it will pencil out.

everybody has rules. even if you were to buy your own truck, you'd have to set up some rules too, like how to run, where to run, how much to pay yourself, how much to set aside to pay the bank, how to deal with customers, who WILL HAVE RULES on thier property, and so on and so forth

then if you were to someday hire a driver, you WOULD HAVE RULES as to how he/she operates your truck, deals with customers, etc, etc...

there is no real escaping RULES.

24 years experience. My company is getting driver facing cameras. With the driver shortage. I've heard that rates are up.

We're getting driver facing cameras. We have plenty of rules hauling cryogenics. But I'm drawing the line with cameras. 24 years experience. With no tickets or accidents

That is only temporary, they will come back down. You don't want to be the one that runs out and buys any available truck at any price because the rates are high. Would you still think it's a good time to buy equipment that is around 100% over value. What happens when rates drop by 50%?

    fishonron and dwells40 Thank this.
