Loves has indicated there is a possible glitch with their free wifi & uservreward points. It seems one or more users are reporting that after connecting their smartphones to the free wifi some or all of their Loves Reward points are disappearing.
I don't have more details about when, where, and are these users' smartphones running the Loves app or not. If you suddenlybfind yourself missing some or all of your Loves points you need to call the 800 number and discuss the issue with them. Be persistent and they will refund your missing points. But, you have to notice your points are missing first.
I never connect to anyone's wifi but mine, family & friends. I just use my Verizon data instead.

Im not surprised.
Best Buy used to be horrible with their so called points. Once upon a year or two my computer parts purchasing was approaching around 20K per annum. A very expensive past time; you can imagine the points BB had. They were horrified actually.
Kept a check up on those by phone and net etc. EVERY TIME I Accessed that information the points bled. and bled and bled some more. Until poof. You could stay active by adding to the points (Buying stuff) checking on it (Bleeding them) or redeeming them with a seriously byzantine system that really created a mental health situation of temporary insanity within me. If I remember right I needed the orginal box of a widget, the reciepts to the item the scanned barcode to same, the redeeming card with it's seperate list of required proving and so on. The final straw? You needed to photocopy a small stamped inspectors mark or number inside the product box itself.
Where pray tell do I find a camera used on colonscopy to get inside this box with it's own light to take a photo of sufficient life like quality to be accepted by the stupid BB rewards program?
I finally came up the idea to drive to the HQ location of the Rewards program in the vehicle, takes a certain amount of gas and time. No difficulty to a trucker like me. I read very carefully three seperte sources of fine print. Surely I can redeem there.
Nope the policy makers have already built a defense against personally traveling to the redemption location as there will be no CS (Customer service) persons with sufficient authority to directly handle your case. In other words its impossible to find anyone with that kind of authority.
Your mailed IN redemption packages (In small boxes by this time...) has to be examined for correct and approved posting labeling, postage paid and tracking valid to your home address both in history within the network etc. WTF,... if I am alive, they can decide I am dead anyway.
Ever since then I take a moment to indulge in a horse laugh interpretation whenever anyone asks if I want to participate in the rewards program. Some of these pretty girls don't understand the nature of he crap they have been taught and trained to upsell to me that has been stinking up the place quietly under the carpet for 30 years.wndrwtr, shatteredsquare, austinmike and 2 others Thank this. -
To protect your Love's points, get an additional Loves Rewards card with little or no points on it. If wifi requires a card number provide the empty card number.

On a related note. With PFJ, anyone who knows your phone number (used in the rewards card profile) can use your points by going in and saying "I left the card out in the truck, just call it up with my phone number ..." Happened to me several times over about 10 days. Had to change the phone number in the system to some arbitrary number and it all stopped. Thankfully I always kept my balance pretty low and they only managed to get $6-7 at a time
I argued with anyone who would listen that the cashiers need to verify identity if they would not produce their card but they said this "would be an inconvenience for some drivers who left their wallet in the truck"
With PFJ, you can log in on a desktop browser and see all rewards activity. This should be done by all periodically to see if there is any unrecognized activity. I assume Loves and Petro/TA have a similar ability to view rewards activity.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
It's 2021 and still has issues...
Well for some reason the Loves app doesn't load my points or my card and when I swipe it in store it just automatically says loyalty rewards cancelled!
Loves won't do anything about it. So it looks like I will NOT be fueling at Love's anymore. I was so excited that a Love's was built on my dedicated route! -
Hmmmm. When broke my phone I logged onto Love's why wifi with my laptop and it gives you like 30 days of free wifi.
I've used like 2 hours worth.
I love Love's. I don't fuel or shower at Love's, but I love Love's.Vampire and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -

Also please use a vpn if you’re using public WiFi. Free WiFi is not secure at all.

Mototom Thanks this.
